About Warm Snow
Warm Snow is a rouge-like action RPG set in a dark fantasy world where it is always the 27th year of the Longwu Era. The game begins with a bizarre supernatural occurrence where snow falls but instead of freezing over, it melts and feels warm to the touch. It is later discovered that this special snow contains a substance that, when inhaled, creates maddening delusions and transforms victims into mindless, violent monsters. As the last hope for the empire, the player controls Bi-An, the most talented and renowned warrior, in her investigation to discover the truth about this phenomenon. Bi-An traverses the empire to confront the five Great Families in an effort to put an end to this unstoppable madness. The game takes dark and grotesque fantasy folklore and feastaamp;zes a corrupt and decaying empire and pulls back the curtain to reveal strange and grotesque creatures that inhabit the lower realms.
Combat takes center stage in August Sole, driven by the unique and captivating Revolutionary Flying Sword system. Combatting foes can be as simple as closing the distance and slashing, or as complex as engaging foes mentally and emotionally to strike them down from afar. The system can also be utilized to give a boost to a player’s stats or provide an effect that can change how a run is played. Playing the game and experimenting with the many available systems, combos, and effects helps with finding the best ways to defeat some of the games stronger bosses.
Survival relies on effective movement and positioning, especially with the help of the dash technique Flickering Light. The game uses permadeath systems, and points earned in a run are used to strengthen Bi-An and unlock abilities that are kept for future runs.
