Background
In Live Hard, Die Hard, we journey into a fictional future. In the year 20XX, aliens officially emerge and attack our beloved Earth. With overwhelming power, within just six months, many major cities around the world have been severely damaged. Despite the concerted efforts of various nations, the current situation remains unchanged. A tragic end awaits Earth.
However, humans are a species that never gives up. They regrouped and resolved to execute one last plan – humanity’s hope. This plan had only one goal: to destroy the aliens’ main base – The Terminal Core. With limited resources, only a small team was assigned to this crucial mission. That team is yours. Get ready and save Earth together!
Gameplay
In Live Hard, Die Hard, we are humanity’s hope in destroying the alien base. Your entire team is housed in a special vehicle, serving as a command center, research facility, and emergency medical station. Here, you can choose your team composition before starting each level, noting that a maximum of four members per team is allowed. Afterward, you’ll be treated to the game’s unique and engaging gameplay.
Specifically, during combat, your horizontal screen is divided into two halves, upper and lower. The upper half shows your base, where your soldiers fight the aliens. The lower half is the medical and research facility, where you treat the wounded and research and process captured items. Don’t let your soldiers die. Pay attention to their HP bars and get them treated as soon as possible. Treatment and research also take time, so prioritize what’s more important.
The more you hit, the stronger you get
It’s safe to say that destroying the alien base in Live Hard, Die Hard is no easy task for a small team. Fortunately, if you defeat the aliens, you can collect their remains, weapons, and technology. This is the research I mentioned earlier. Control your doctor character to the resource locations and choose what you want.
Each successful research project will earn you a little experience. Once you’ve accumulated enough, the system will be upgraded, and you can choose one of three random upgrades. This is quite familiar from survival games we’ve played before. Read these upgrades carefully and choose one that suits you. Don’t forget to leave space for the wounded soldiers, they are the most important people in Live Hard, Die Hard.
Build your team in Live Hard, Die Hard
As mentioned above, you need a squad of soldiers to fight. At the beginning of the game, you can only form a squad of a maximum of four members. Live Hard and Die Hard also allow you to upgrade your base to increase the size of your squad in the future. A strong squad should have vanguard soldiers, support soldiers, and long-range marksmen. And the soldier characters in the game are also divided into roles according to these roles.
Besides their roles as Attacker, Supporter, and Sniper, these soldiers also possess very detailed stats such as HP, Armor, DPS, Mvt, Speed, Stress, Life… Note that they can die and disappear if their Life stat drops to 0. Therefore, heal them immediately when their health drops below 50%. Additionally, you can upgrade and equip them with Body Mods.
