Marooned is a survival adventure game developed by FastFly. In the game, you play as a man named Aed, who finds himself lost in harsh environments all over the world. From dense forests and deserted islands to vast, endless deserts, you must use everything you can find to survive the harshness of nature. Let’s explore Marooned together!

Survival gameplay

You’ll be dropped into a wasteland where there’s literally nothing. Want to live without doing anything? Of course not. Your job is to complete the system tasks the game gives you, earning resources to sustain your life.

Marooned offers a complete survival experience. From hunting and gathering to finding food and water, and even building shelter. Interestingly, you’ll have some hunting interactions like throwing rocks and setting traps. The right-hand corner of the screen will show you Aed’s status, including water, energy, health, and blood. These stats will decrease during your survival, but you can recover them by sleeping.

Each area in Marooned is vast. You can set up camp and build a campfire anywhere, placing traps in places where you think you’re most likely to catch animals. When it rains, you can use containers to collect water. When night falls and you can’t see, you can light a torch to light your way. You can also become your own chef by gathering ingredients to cook meals right in the deep jungle. This is how you become a chef in your own way. From tropical rainforests to African grasslands, each map has a completely different ecosystem, requiring its own survival strategy.

Make the necessary tools

Marooned provides you with a wealth of tools and traps. There are ways to hunt animals from the sky and sea, from readily available natural resources like rocks and bamboo to craftable items like bows and arrows and fishing nets. But rest assured, you won’t be alone; the game provides all the necessary instructions so you know what to do, eliminating the need to waste time figuring things out on your own.

However, life isn’t that simple. Sometimes you’ll encounter more dangerous animals like wolves, hyenas, or crocodiles. I think the best strategy is to run away. Run as far as you can when you encounter them. Don’t be foolish enough to confront them. All you need to do is focus on one thing: survival.

On that journey of survival, in a place where you are the only human, there will inevitably be times when you feel lonely, lost, and disillusioned with life. To satisfy that feeling, Marooned brings you pets. You will capture them, care for them, and turn them into wonderful companions.

A diverse ecosystem for your survival.

One of Marooned’s greatest strengths is the diversity of its environments. From the tropical rainforests of Thailand, the deserted islands of the Philippines, the plains of Africa, to new lands that are constantly being added, each map is a completely different world with its own flora, fauna, weather, and resources.

Graphics and sound

Marooned uses 3D graphics with a third-person perspective, allowing you to observe the surrounding environment clearly and intuitively. The graphics are designed simply but comprehensively, not overly elaborate, but everything is clearly and easily visible. Each terrain is built quite realistically: dense, dark forests, endless African grasslands, and desolate, eerie deserted islands. The day-night cycle is naturally recreated; you can easily observe your surroundings during the day, but when night falls, your screen darkens just like in real life.

The sound design is also meticulously crafted. The rustling of the wind, the sound of falling rain, and the distant calls of wild animals create a realistic survival atmosphere, making you feel like you’re truly lost in the wilderness, not just playing a game on your phone.
